Tarangire, Manyara, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro
6-Day Itinerary
This is a 6-day camping safari that takes you first to Tarangire National Parks, a park that acts as the main refuge for wildlife from the surrounding part of the Great Rift Valley during the dry season. You proceed to Lake Manyara National Park which is is two thirds water, one third dry land and it is home to a spectacular concentration of game for such a small area. The safari then takes you to Serengeti National Park, the premier wildlife conservation area humbling in the enormity of 14,700 square km of rolling Serengeti grasslands studded with wildlife for as far as the eye can see. Finally, you have your day at the floor of Ngorongoro Crater, the largest unbroken caldera in the world which has been described as one of the great natural wonders of the world.
Accommodation all through is in small 2-man tents with two-inch mattresses spread on the ground and involves the use of public campsites where washroom facilities of reasonable hygienic standard are available.
DAY 1: Arusha/Tarangire
Depart from Arusha/Moshi in the morning and drive to Tarangire National Park with lunch boxes to start your game drives as soon as you reach the park. Dinner and overnight at camp.
DAY 2: Lake Manyara
After breakfast depart for the nearby Lake Manyara Nat. Park with lunch boxes and begin your full day game drives in the park. Dinner and overnight at camp.
DAY 3: Serengeti
After breakfast depart for Serengeti Nat. Park with game drive en route. After a picnic lunch proceed with an afternoon game drive followed by dinner and overnight at Seronera or Lobo campsite.
DAY 4: Serengeti
After breakfast begin your full day game drives in the vast Serengeti Park with picnic lunch. Return to camp for dinner and overnight.
DAY 5: Ngorongoro
Following your morning game drive depart for Ngorongoro with a game drive en route and an optional stop at Olduvai Gorge. Dinner and overnight will be at Simba campsite.
DAY 6: Ngorongoro/Arusha
After an early breakfast descend into the crater floor for a full day crater tour – departing mid-afternoon for Arusha to arrive early evening.

Please note:
- With the above quote we reserve the right to assign additional people to your vehicle if you have made a reservation for only 1 or 2 people. If you do not want to share the trip then an additional $40 ($20 per person for 2) fee is required for a private trip. If your party includes 3 or more no surcharge is required.
- We require a 50% deposit to reserve Lodge or Tent safaris. A 20% deposit is needed for Basic Camping safaris.
- Safari tents fit two people and are large enough to stand in.
The price includes:
- Transport with qualified driver/guide in 4x4 vehicles with viewing roof
- Camping fees or lodge accommodation
- All meals (including cook on camping safari)
- Camping equipment, if necessary
- National Park gate fees
- Park commission
- Government tax
The price does not include:
- Bottled water and drinks
- Lodging before and after the safari
- Optional Maasai Village visit
- Olduvai Gorge visit
- Transfers to and from your hotel in Moshi/Arusha
- Lunches, dinners, drinks at your hotel in Moshi/Arusha
Recommended tipping guidelines:
- Guides: $15 – $20 per guide per day
- Assistant Guide: $12 – $15 per guide per day
- porters: $6 – $7 per porter per day
- Cook: $15 per cook per day
