Best of Tanzania
7-Day Itinerary
On this 7-day camping safari you will be visiting all of the 5 most frequented northern parks in Tanzania starting at Arusha National Park with an option of walking half day with a park ranger. The safari proceeds to Tarangire National Park, the park that acts as the main refuge for wildlife from the surrounding part of the Great Rift Valley during the dry season and then to Lake Manyara National Park. From Manyara the safari takes you to Serengeti National Park, which is Tanzania's oldest park, and one of the world's last great wildlife refuges, and finally to Ngorongoro Crater – a true wonder of the natural world, famous for its sunken caldera formed over a million years ago. The crater is inhabited in harmony by indigenous Maasai people and their livestock, as well as a startling variety of plant, animal and birdlife species.
Accommodation all through is in small 2-man tents with two-inch mattresses spread on the ground and involves the use of public campsites where washroom facilities of reasonable hygienic standard are available.
